I would like to take this opportunity to say a very warm hello to you all. It’s a real pleasure to welcome enquiries from parents, carers and visitors.
Holyport CE (A) Primary School has been around for a long time. It was founded in 1848 by church leaders at Bray Church in Maidenhead. Some 160 years later many things have changed, but we are still in the business of education young children in a caring and friendly environment.
Our vision for the school is to provide an inclusive and quality learning environment that bases relationships on Christian values and uses technology to enhance the way we teach and learn, thus laying the foundations for continuous improvement and lifelong learning. We believe that as a church school we should reflect a strong Christian ethos throughout, if children are to have the opportunity to experience a community that celebrates a Christian faith.
Recent years have seen exciting times for our school as it flourishes and grows in size. However, we have remained determined to retain the individual care and attention for our pupils that have characterised our school for so long.
Holyport is eager to promote a broad and balanced curriculum for the children in our care. The arts are a strong focus and we believe that these skills should last a lifetime. To reinforce this, we have increased the number, and variety, of clubs we offer the children and we are also able to offer an ‘extended’ school day.
We are very proud of our academic achievements, but we are also enormously proud of all our pupils and the contribution each one of them brings to make school life special. We want to ensure that continuous improvement and change is not viewed solely on academic issues. Our primary aim is to encourage our pupils to be self-confident, inquiring and positive individuals, who respect the differences of others.
